- Shiitake mushrooms - 200 grams

- Brown sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Spring onions - 2, chopped
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Water - 1/4 cup
Steps
- Clean the shiitake mushrooms with a damp cloth and slice them into thick pieces.
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, black pepper, and water to create the marinade.
- Add the sliced mushrooms to the marinade and let them soak for about 10 minutes.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and pour in the marinated mushrooms along with the marinade.
- Cook the mushrooms for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are tender and the sauce thickens.
- Remove from heat and sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped spring onions over the mushrooms before serving.
