Ingredients

  • Pork belly - 400 grams
  • Garlic cloves - 4, minced
  • Sesame oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Lettuce leaves - 200 grams
  • Sliced cucumbers - 100 grams
  • Sliced radishes - 100 grams
  • Green onions - 4, chopped
  • Gochujang (Korean chili paste) - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Cut the pork belly into 1 cm thick slices and season with salt and black pepper.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the minced garlic, sesame oil, and soy sauce to make a marinade.
  4. Marinate the pork belly slices in the mixture for about 10 minutes.
  5. Place the marinated pork belly on the grill and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until crispy and cooked through.
  6. While the pork is grilling, prepare the side vegetables by washing the lettuce leaves and slicing the cucumbers and radishes.
  7. Once the pork is done, remove it from the grill and let it rest for a couple of minutes.
  8. Serve the grilled pork belly with lettuce leaves, gochujang, and the fresh vegetables on the side for wrapping.
