- Fresh shrimp (peeled and deveined) - 200 grams
- Water - 500 ml
- Korean radish (mu), sliced - 100 grams
- Green onions, chopped - 2 stalks
- Garlic, minced - 3 cloves
- Ginger, sliced - 1 inch piece
- Korean chili flakes (gochugaru) - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce (Halal) - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Tofu, cubed - 100 grams
- Mushrooms (shiitake or enoki), sliced - 50 grams
Steps
- In a pot, bring 500 ml of water to a boil over medium heat.
- Add the sliced Korean radish, minced garlic, sliced ginger, and black pepper to the boiling water. Cook for about 10 minutes until the radish is tender.
- Stir in the soy sauce and sesame oil, then add the shrimp and mushrooms. Cook for 3-5 minutes until the shrimp turn pink.
- Add the cubed tofu and Korean chili flakes, simmering for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Taste the soup and add salt as needed. Remove from heat.
- Garnish with chopped green onions before serving hot.
