Ingredients

  • Fresh shrimp (peeled and deveined) - 200 grams
  • Water - 500 ml
  • Korean radish (mu), sliced - 100 grams
  • Green onions, chopped - 2 stalks
  • Garlic, minced - 3 cloves
  • Ginger, sliced - 1 inch piece
  • Korean chili flakes (gochugaru) - 1 tablespoon
  • Soy sauce (Halal) - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Tofu, cubed - 100 grams
  • Mushrooms (shiitake or enoki), sliced - 50 grams

Steps

  1. In a pot, bring 500 ml of water to a boil over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced Korean radish, minced garlic, sliced ginger, and black pepper to the boiling water. Cook for about 10 minutes until the radish is tender.
  3. Stir in the soy sauce and sesame oil, then add the shrimp and mushrooms. Cook for 3-5 minutes until the shrimp turn pink.
  4. Add the cubed tofu and Korean chili flakes, simmering for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  5. Taste the soup and add salt as needed. Remove from heat.
  6. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving hot.
