Ingredients

  • Shrimp (peeled and deveined) - 200 grams
  • Korean radish (Mu) - 100 grams, sliced
  • Zucchini - 1 medium, sliced
  • Green onion - 2 stalks, chopped
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Gochugaru (Korean red pepper flakes) - 1 tablespoon
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Water - 500 ml
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Tofu (firm) - 100 grams, cubed
  • Mushrooms (shiitake or button) - 100 grams, sliced

Steps

  1. In a pot, heat sesame oil over medium heat and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
  2. Add the sliced Korean radish and zucchini, cooking for about 5 minutes until they begin to soften.
  3. Pour in the water and bring the mixture to a boil.
  4. Once boiling, add the gochugaru, soy sauce, and mushrooms. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Add the shrimp and tofu, cooking for an additional 5 minutes or until the shrimp are pink and cooked through.
  6. Season with salt and black pepper to taste, then stir in the chopped green onions before serving.
