- Cooked jasmine rice - 1 cup (200 grams)
- Korean radish (mu), diced - 100 grams
- Green onion, chopped - 2 stalks
- Garlic, minced - 3 cloves
- Ginger, minced - 1 teaspoon
- Korean chili flakes (gochugaru) - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Water - 4 cups (1 liter)
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Lime wedges - for serving
Steps
- In a large pot, heat sesame oil over medium heat. Add garlic, ginger, and Korean radish, sautéing for about 5 minutes until fragrant.
- Add water to the pot and bring to a boil.
- Once boiling, add shrimp, soy sauce, and gochugaru. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until shrimp turn pink and are cooked through.
- Stir in the cooked jasmine rice and let it simmer for another 5 minutes to combine the flavors.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions and lime wedges on the side.
