Ingredients

  • Green chili peppers - 100 grams
  • Water - 100 ml
  • White vinegar - 50 ml
  • Sugar - 1 tablespoon (15 grams)
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon (6 grams)
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, sliced
  • Sesame seeds - 1 teaspoon (optional)

Steps

  1. Wash the green chili peppers thoroughly and remove the stems. If desired, slice them in half lengthwise for more flavor absorption.
  2. In a small saucepan, combine the water, white vinegar, sugar, and salt. Heat over medium heat until the sugar and salt are fully dissolved, then remove from heat.
  3. Add the sliced garlic to the vinegar mixture and let it cool for about 10 minutes.
  4. Place the green chili peppers in a clean glass jar. Pour the cooled vinegar mixture over the peppers, ensuring they are fully submerged.
  5. If using, sprinkle sesame seeds over the top of the mixture.
  6. Seal the jar tightly and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
