- Green chili peppers - 100 grams
- Water - 100 ml
- White vinegar - 50 ml
- Sugar - 1 tablespoon (15 grams)
- Salt - 1 teaspoon (6 grams)
- Garlic - 2 cloves, sliced
- Sesame seeds - 1 teaspoon (optional)
Steps
- Wash the green chili peppers thoroughly and remove the stems. If desired, slice them in half lengthwise for more flavor absorption.
- In a small saucepan, combine the water, white vinegar, sugar, and salt. Heat over medium heat until the sugar and salt are fully dissolved, then remove from heat.
- Add the sliced garlic to the vinegar mixture and let it cool for about 10 minutes.
- Place the green chili peppers in a clean glass jar. Pour the cooled vinegar mixture over the peppers, ensuring they are fully submerged.
- If using, sprinkle sesame seeds over the top of the mixture.
- Seal the jar tightly and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
