  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Sesame seeds - 1 teaspoon, for garnish

Steps

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and ginger, sautéing for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add the sliced onion, bell pepper, and carrot to the skillet, stir-frying for 3-4 minutes until they begin to soften.
  4. Add the cleaned squid rings to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes until they turn opaque.
  5. Stir in the gochujang and soy sauce, mixing well to coat the squid and vegetables evenly.
  6. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to slightly thicken.
  7. Add the chopped green onion and drizzle with sesame oil, stirring to combine.
  8. Season with black pepper to taste and remove from heat.
  9. Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds, alongside steamed rice or fresh vegetables.
