Steps
- In a medium bowl, combine soy sauce, gochugaru, minced garlic, minced ginger, sesame oil, and water to create the marinade.
- Add the cleaned and sliced squid to the marinade and let it sit for 10 minutes to absorb the flavors.
- In a non-stick skillet over medium heat, pour the marinated squid and its sauce, cooking for about 5 minutes until the squid starts to turn opaque.
- Reduce the heat to low and simmer for an additional 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens slightly and the squid is tender.
- Season with black pepper to taste, then remove from heat.
- Garnish with chopped spring onion and sesame seeds before serving.
