Ingredients

  • Water - 500 ml
  • Dried seaweed (miyeok) - 10 g
  • Soft tofu - 200 g
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Soak the dried seaweed in cold water for about 10 minutes until it becomes soft, then drain and chop it into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a pot, bring 500 ml of water to a boil. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, and simmer for 2 minutes.
  3. Add the chopped seaweed to the pot and let it cook for another 3 minutes.
  4. Cut the soft tofu into cubes and gently add it to the soup, allowing it to heat through for about 5 minutes.
  5. Stir in the soy sauce and sesame oil, and season with black pepper to taste.
  6. Finally, garnish with chopped green onions before serving hot.
