- Napa cabbage - 200 grams
- Daikon radish - 100 grams
- Carrot - 50 grams
- Green onion - 2 stalks
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Korean red pepper flakes (gochugaru) - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Sugar - 1 teaspoon
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Water - 500 milliliters
Steps
- Thinly slice the Napa cabbage, daikon radish, and carrot into matchsticks.
- Chop the green onion into small pieces and set aside.
- In a large bowl, dissolve the salt in the water and add the sliced vegetables (cabbage, radish, carrot).
- Let the vegetables soak in the salty water for about 15 minutes to soften.
- In a separate bowl, combine the garlic, ginger, gochugaru, soy sauce, sugar, and sesame oil to create a paste.
- After 15 minutes, drain the vegetables and rinse them under cold water to remove excess salt.
- Add the drained vegetables to the paste and mix well, ensuring all pieces are coated.
- Finally, fold in the chopped green onions and let the mixture sit for another 5 minutes before serving.
