Ingredients

  • Fresh mugwort - 100 grams
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Toasted sesame seeds - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Water - for blanching

Steps

  1. Bring a pot of water to a boil and add a pinch of salt.
  2. Once boiling, add the fresh mugwort and blanch for 1-2 minutes until vibrant green and tender.
  3. Remove the mugwort from the pot and immediately immerse it in ice water to stop the cooking process.
  4. After 2 minutes, drain the mugwort and gently squeeze out excess water.
  5. In a mixing bowl, combine the blanched mugwort, sesame oil, soy sauce, minced garlic, and salt to taste.
  6. Toss the mixture until the mugwort is evenly coated with the seasoning.
  7. Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds on top and serve as a side dish.
