- Water - 150 ml
- Sugar - 10 grams
- Sesame oil - 10 ml
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Green onion - 1 stalk, chopped
- Red pepper flakes - 1 teaspoon
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- Peel the Korean radish and cut it into half-inch cubes.
- In a pot, combine soy sauce, water, sugar, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes to create the braising sauce.
- Add the cubed radish to the pot and bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat.
- Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and cover the pot. Let it simmer for about 15 minutes or until the radish is tender.
- Uncover the pot and increase the heat to medium-high to reduce the sauce until it thickens slightly, stirring occasionally for about 5 minutes.
- Drizzle sesame oil over the radish and toss to coat evenly.
- Remove from heat, garnish with chopped green onion and sesame seeds, and serve warm.
