Ingredients

  • Korean radish (Mu) - 300 grams
  • Soy sauce - 30 ml
  • Water - 150 ml
  • Sugar - 10 grams
  • Sesame oil - 10 ml
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Green onion - 1 stalk, chopped
  • Red pepper flakes - 1 teaspoon
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. Peel the Korean radish and cut it into half-inch cubes.
  2. In a pot, combine soy sauce, water, sugar, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes to create the braising sauce.
  3. Add the cubed radish to the pot and bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat.
  4. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and cover the pot. Let it simmer for about 15 minutes or until the radish is tender.
  5. Uncover the pot and increase the heat to medium-high to reduce the sauce until it thickens slightly, stirring occasionally for about 5 minutes.
  6. Drizzle sesame oil over the radish and toss to coat evenly.
  7. Remove from heat, garnish with chopped green onion and sesame seeds, and serve warm.
