Ingredients

  • Dried miyeok (seaweed) - 10 grams
  • Water - 4 cups (1 liter)
  • Beef (brisket or shank) - 100 grams
  • Garlic (minced) - 2 cloves
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Green onion (chopped) - 1 stalk

Steps

  1. Soak the dried miyeok in cold water for about 20 minutes until it expands and softens. Drain and cut into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a pot, add the soaked miyeok, beef, and 4 cups of water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
  3. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 10 minutes or until the beef is tender.
  4. Add minced garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Stir well and simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onion before serving.
