Ingredients
- Dried miyeok (seaweed) - 10 grams
- Water - 4 cups (1 liter)
- Beef (brisket or shank) - 100 grams
- Garlic (minced) - 2 cloves
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Green onion (chopped) - 1 stalk
Steps
- Soak the dried miyeok in cold water for about 20 minutes until it expands and softens. Drain and cut into bite-sized pieces.
- In a pot, add the soaked miyeok, beef, and 4 cups of water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
- Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 10 minutes or until the beef is tender.
- Add minced garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Stir well and simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onion before serving.
