Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine sweet rice flour, sugar, and a pinch of salt. Gradually add water while stirring until you achieve a smooth batter.
  2. Pour the batter into a heatproof dish lined with parchment paper and steam for about 20 minutes until the mixture is set and slightly translucent.
  3. Once the rice cake is cooked, let it cool for a few minutes, then remove it from the dish and cut it into bite-sized squares.
  4. Dust the rice cake pieces with cornstarch to prevent sticking, then set aside.
