Ingredients

  • Zucchini - 2 medium (about 300g)
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons (30ml)
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon (15ml)
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon (15ml)
  • Brown sugar - 1 teaspoon (5g)
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon (9g)
  • Green onions - 2 stalks, chopped
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon (2g)

Steps

  1. Wash the zucchini and slice it into thin rounds, about 0.5 cm thick.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, rice vinegar, brown sugar, and black pepper. Whisk until the sugar is dissolved.
  3. Add the zucchini rounds to the marinade and toss well to ensure all pieces are coated.
  4. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let the zucchini marinate in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes.
  5. After marinating, remove the zucchini from the refrigerator and sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped green onions over the top.
