Ingredients

  • Button mushrooms - 200 grams
  • Soy sauce - 30 ml
  • Sesame oil - 15 ml
  • Rice vinegar - 15 ml
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Brown sugar - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. Clean the button mushrooms with a damp cloth and remove the stems.
  2. In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, brown sugar, and black pepper to create the marinade.
  3. Add the cleaned mushrooms to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover and let them marinate in the refrigerator for at least 20 minutes.
  4. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat.
  5. Remove the mushrooms from the marinade and place them on the grill. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally until they are tender and have grill marks.
  6. Once grilled, remove the mushrooms from the heat and sprinkle chopped green onions and sesame seeds on top before serving.
