- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Chicken or vegetable broth - 500 milliliters
- Carrot (julienned) - 1 small
- Spinach - 50 grams
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Sesame seeds - for garnish
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground pork, chopped green onions, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until fully combined.
- Take one gluten-free dumpling wrapper and place a small spoonful of the filling in the center. Moisten the edges with water, fold in half, and pinch to seal. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.
- In a large pot, bring the chicken or vegetable broth to a boil over medium heat.
- Once boiling, add the dumplings to the broth and reduce heat to a simmer. Cook for about 10 minutes or until the dumplings float to the surface.
- Add the julienned carrot and spinach to the pot. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
- Taste the soup and adjust seasoning with more salt or pepper if needed.
- Ladle the soup into bowls, garnish with sesame seeds, and serve hot.
