  • Ground pork - 150 grams
  • Chopped green onions - 2 tablespoons
  • Minced garlic - 1 teaspoon
  • Grated ginger - 1 teaspoon
  • Soy sauce (gluten-free) - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Chicken or vegetable broth - 500 milliliters
  • Carrot (julienned) - 1 small
  • Spinach - 50 grams
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Sesame seeds - for garnish

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground pork, chopped green onions, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until fully combined.
  2. Take one gluten-free dumpling wrapper and place a small spoonful of the filling in the center. Moisten the edges with water, fold in half, and pinch to seal. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.
  3. In a large pot, bring the chicken or vegetable broth to a boil over medium heat.
  4. Once boiling, add the dumplings to the broth and reduce heat to a simmer. Cook for about 10 minutes or until the dumplings float to the surface.
  5. Add the julienned carrot and spinach to the pot. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
  6. Taste the soup and adjust seasoning with more salt or pepper if needed.
  7. Ladle the soup into bowls, garnish with sesame seeds, and serve hot.
