Ingredients

  • Mandu wrappers - 10 pieces
  • Firm tofu - 200 grams, crumbled
  • Carrots - 50 grams, grated
  • Cabbage - 100 grams, finely chopped
  • Green onions - 2, finely sliced
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - for frying
  • Burger buns - 2
  • Lettuce leaves - 2
  • Tomato - 1, sliced
  • Vegan mayo - 2 tablespoons
  • Sriracha sauce - to taste

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the crumbled tofu, grated carrots, chopped cabbage, green onions, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are incorporated.
  2. Take a mandu wrapper and place about 1 tablespoon of the filling mixture in the center. Wet the edges of the wrapper with water, fold it over, and pinch to seal. Repeat this process until all filling is used.
  3. Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Carefully add the mandu and fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  4. While the mandu are cooking, toast the burger buns lightly on a separate skillet or in the oven until golden.
  5. Assemble the burgers by spreading vegan mayo on the bottom half of each bun, placing a lettuce leaf, two mandu patties, a slice of tomato, and a drizzle of sriracha sauce. Top with the other half of the bun.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious vegan Mandu Burger!
