- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Carrot, grated - 30 grams
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Egg - 1, beaten (for egg wash)
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon (for garnish)
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground halal beef, chopped onion, green onions, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, grated carrot, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Take a wonton wrapper and place about 1 tablespoon of the filling in the center. Moisten the edges with water, fold the wrapper in half to form a triangle, and press the edges to seal. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
- Arrange the sealed dumplings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush the tops of the dumplings with the beaten egg to give them a golden color while baking.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds on top of the dumplings for added flavor and crunch.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the dumplings are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
