Ingredients
- Eggs - 4 large
- Mayonnaise - 3 tablespoons
- Gochujang (Korean chili paste) - 1 teaspoon
- Soy sauce - 1 teaspoon
- Rice vinegar - 1 teaspoon
- Sesame oil - 1/2 teaspoon
- Green onion - 1 tablespoon (finely chopped)
- Sesame seeds - 1 teaspoon (toasted)
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
Steps
- Place the eggs in a saucepan and cover them with water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
- Once boiling, cover the saucepan, remove from heat, and let the eggs sit for 10-12 minutes.
- After the time is up, transfer the eggs to an ice bath to cool for about 5 minutes.
- Peel the eggs and slice them in half lengthwise. Gently remove the yolks and place them in a mixing bowl.
- Add mayonnaise, gochujang, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper to the egg yolks. Mix until smooth and well combined.
- Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg white halves.
- Garnish with chopped green onion and toasted sesame seeds before serving.
