Ingredients

  • Eggs - 4 large
  • Mayonnaise - 3 tablespoons
  • Gochujang (Korean chili paste) - 1 teaspoon
  • Soy sauce - 1 teaspoon
  • Rice vinegar - 1 teaspoon
  • Sesame oil - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Green onion - 1 tablespoon (finely chopped)
  • Sesame seeds - 1 teaspoon (toasted)
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Place the eggs in a saucepan and cover them with water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
  2. Once boiling, cover the saucepan, remove from heat, and let the eggs sit for 10-12 minutes.
  3. After the time is up, transfer the eggs to an ice bath to cool for about 5 minutes.
  4. Peel the eggs and slice them in half lengthwise. Gently remove the yolks and place them in a mixing bowl.
  5. Add mayonnaise, gochujang, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper to the egg yolks. Mix until smooth and well combined.
  6. Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg white halves.
  7. Garnish with chopped green onion and toasted sesame seeds before serving.
