Ingredients

  • Firm tofu - 300 grams
  • Carrot - 1 medium, julienned
  • Bell pepper (red or yellow) - 1 medium, sliced
  • Zucchini - 1 medium, sliced
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Salt - to taste

Steps

  1. Press the tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into bite-sized cubes.
  2. In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the cubed tofu to the skillet and fry until golden brown on all sides, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the tofu and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the garlic and stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Add the julienned carrot, sliced bell pepper, and zucchini to the skillet, and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  6. Return the tofu to the skillet and add the soy sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper. Stir to combine and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  7. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving. Adjust salt to taste if necessary.
