- Green onions, chopped - 2 stalks
- Carrot, julienned - 1 small
- Cabbage, chopped - 100 grams
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Sesame seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Red pepper flakes (optional) - 1 teaspoon
Steps
- In a medium pot, bring the vegetable broth to a simmer over medium heat.
- Add the gochujang, soy sauce, maple syrup, and minced garlic to the pot, stirring well to combine.
- Add the rice cakes to the simmering sauce and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally until the rice cakes become soft and chewy.
- In the last 5 minutes of cooking, add the julienned carrot and chopped cabbage to the pot, mixing them into the sauce.
- Once everything is cooked and well combined, drizzle the sesame oil over the dish and stir.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds. Add red pepper flakes for extra heat if desired.
