Ingredients
- Whole wheat noodles - 150 grams
- Sesame oil - 2 tablespoons
- Gochujang (Korean red chili paste) - 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Honey - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
- Carrot, julienned - 1 medium
- Bell pepper, sliced - 1 medium
- Green onions, chopped - 2 stalks
- Spinach - 100 grams
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Water - 1 liter
Steps
- Boil 1 liter of water in a pot and cook the whole wheat noodles according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- In a large pan, heat 2 tablespoons of sesame oil over medium heat. Add 2 cloves of minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the julienned carrot and sliced bell pepper to the pan, and cook for about 3-4 minutes until slightly softened.
- Stir in the cooked noodles, 2 tablespoons of gochujang, 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, and 1 tablespoon of honey. Mix well to combine all ingredients and cook for another 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through.
- Add the fresh spinach and chopped green onions, tossing them in until the spinach wilts, about 1-2 minutes.
- Serve the noodles hot, garnished with a sprinkle of sesame seeds.
