- Gojujang (Korean chili paste) - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Sugar - 1 teaspoon
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Water - 120 ml
- Sesame seeds - 1 teaspoon for garnish
Steps
- Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add the chopped green onion and minced garlic to the pan and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
- Cut the fish cake into bite-sized pieces and add them to the pan, stirring gently.
- In a small bowl, mix together the gochujang, soy sauce, sugar, and sesame oil.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the fish cake in the pan and stir well to coat all pieces.
- Add 120 ml of water to the pan and let it simmer for about 5-7 minutes, allowing the fish cakes to soak up the flavors.
- Once the sauce has thickened slightly, remove from heat and transfer to a serving plate.
- Garnish with sesame seeds before serving.
