Ingredients

  • Bean sprouts - 200 grams
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Green onion - 2 stalks, chopped
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Gochugaru (Korean red pepper flakes) - 1 teaspoon
  • Rice vinegar - 1 teaspoon
  • Sesame seeds - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste

Steps

  1. Rinse the bean sprouts under cold water and drain well.
  2. In a pot, bring water to a boil and add the bean sprouts, cooking for 2-3 minutes until just tender.
  3. Drain the bean sprouts and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process. Allow them to cool completely.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine the minced garlic, chopped green onion, sesame oil, soy sauce, gochugaru, rice vinegar, and salt. Mix well.
  5. Add the cooled bean sprouts to the mixing bowl and toss gently to coat them evenly with the dressing.
  6. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top and give it one last gentle toss.
  7. Serve immediately or let it chill in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes before serving.
