- Brown sugar - 30 grams
- Sesame seeds - 50 grams
- Red bean paste (sweetened) - 80 grams
- Vegetable oil (for frying) - 200 ml
Steps
- In a bowl, combine glutinous rice flour and water to form a smooth dough.
- Add brown sugar to the dough and mix until fully incorporated.
- Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and flatten each portion into a disc.
- Place about 10 grams of red bean paste in the center of each disc and carefully fold the edges over to seal, rolling them into balls.
- In a small bowl, spread sesame seeds. Roll each ball in sesame seeds until fully coated.
- In a deep pan, heat vegetable oil over medium heat until hot.
- Fry the sesame balls in batches, turning occasionally, until they are golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
- Remove the sesame balls and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
