Ingredients

  • Glutinous rice flour - 100 grams
  • Water - 120 ml
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Sugar - 1 teaspoon
  • Roasted sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon (optional)

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the glutinous rice flour, water, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and sugar. Mix until a smooth batter forms.
  2. If desired, add the chili powder for a spicy kick and mix well.
  3. Cover the bowl with a cloth and let the batter rest for 10 minutes.
  4. Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Grease lightly with oil.
  5. Using a tablespoon, scoop the batter and pour it onto the skillet, spreading it into thin rounds.
  6. Cook each side for about 2-3 minutes or until golden and crispy. Repeat with the remaining batter.
  7. Once cooked, sprinkle the toasted sesame seeds on top while still warm.
  8. Allow the crackers to cool slightly before serving.
