- Ground beef (kosher) - 250 grams
- Cooked jasmine rice - 100 grams
- Green onion - 2 stalks, finely chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Egg - 1 large
- Soy sauce (kosher) - 2 tablespoons
- Gochujang - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Carrot - 1 small, grated
- Breadcrumbs - 30 grams
- Ketchup - 2 tablespoons
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, cooked jasmine rice, chopped green onion, minced garlic, grated carrot, and breadcrumbs.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the egg, soy sauce, gochujang, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper.
- Add the wet mixture to the meat mixture and mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.
- Transfer the mixture to a loaf pan and shape it into a loaf.
- Spread ketchup evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 70°C (160°F).
- Remove from the oven and let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
