  • Green onion - 2 tablespoons, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 tablespoon, minced
  • Soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Honey - 1 tablespoon
  • Bread crumbs - 1/4 cup
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon (for garnish)

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, chopped green onion, minced garlic, minced ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, bread crumbs, egg, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 2.5 cm (1 inch) in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until they are cooked through and golden brown on the outside.
  5. While the meatballs are baking, prepare the glaze by mixing together additional soy sauce, sesame oil, and honey in a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a simmer and let it cook for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Once the meatballs are done, drizzle the glaze over them and garnish with sesame seeds. Serve hot with steamed rice or a side of vegetables.
