Ingredients

  • Pizza dough - 200 grams
  • Ground beef (lean) - 150 grams
  • Ground pork - 100 grams
  • Scallions (green onions) - 2, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Brown sugar - 1 teaspoon
  • Egg - 1, beaten
  • Mozzarella cheese - 100 grams, shredded
  • Kimchi - 100 grams, chopped
  • Sriracha sauce - to taste
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Cilantro - for garnish

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).
  2. In a bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, scallions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, and the beaten egg. Mix until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into small meatballs, about the size of a golf ball.
  4. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the meatballs for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally until browned and cooked through. Remove from heat.
  5. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness and shape.
  6. Transfer the dough to a baking sheet or pizza stone.
  7. Spread a thin layer of Sriracha sauce over the pizza base, if desired.
  8. Evenly distribute the chopped kimchi over the pizza dough.
  9. Place the cooked meatballs on top of the kimchi, then sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over everything.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  11. Remove from the oven, garnish with sesame seeds and fresh cilantro, and let cool for a few minutes before slicing.
