Ingredients

  • Pizza dough - 250 grams
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Spinach - 50 grams, chopped
  • Perilla leaves (shiso) - 10 leaves, chopped
  • Green onions - 2 stalks, sliced
  • Mushrooms (shiitake or oyster) - 100 grams, sliced
  • Mozzarella cheese - 150 grams, shredded
  • Gochujang - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 220°C (428°F) and prepare a pizza stone or baking sheet.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Add the chopped spinach, perilla leaves, and sliced mushrooms to the skillet. Cook until the spinach is wilted and the mushrooms are tender, about 3-4 minutes. Season with salt to taste and remove from heat.
  4. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness, then transfer it to the pizza stone or baking sheet.
  5. Spread the sautéed vegetable mixture evenly over the pizza base.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the vegetables.
  7. Drizzle gochujang mixed with sesame oil over the cheese.
  8. Sprinkle sliced green onions and sesame seeds over the top.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling.
  10. Remove from the oven, let cool for a couple of minutes, slice, and serve hot.
