- Ground beef (80% lean) - 300 grams
- Fresh cilantro - 30 grams, chopped
- Green onions - 30 grams, finely sliced
- Gochujang (Korean chili paste) - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Egg - 1 large
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Lettuce leaves - 4 large (for wrapping)
- Sliced cucumber - 100 grams
- Sliced radish - 50 grams
- Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons (optional for serving)
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped cilantro, sliced green onions, gochujang, minced garlic, sesame oil, egg, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each into a patty, about 1.5 cm thick.
- Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
- While the patties are cooking, prepare the lettuce wraps by washing and drying the lettuce leaves.
- Once the patties are cooked, assemble the burgers by placing each patty on a lettuce leaf. Top with sliced cucumber and radish.
- If desired, add a dollop of mayonnaise before wrapping the lettuce around the filling. Serve immediately.
