Ingredients

  • Ground beef (80% lean) - 300 grams
  • Fresh cilantro - 30 grams, chopped
  • Green onions - 30 grams, finely sliced
  • Gochujang (Korean chili paste) - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Lettuce leaves - 4 large (for wrapping)
  • Sliced cucumber - 100 grams
  • Sliced radish - 50 grams
  • Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons (optional for serving)

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped cilantro, sliced green onions, gochujang, minced garlic, sesame oil, egg, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each into a patty, about 1.5 cm thick.
  3. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
  4. While the patties are cooking, prepare the lettuce wraps by washing and drying the lettuce leaves.
  5. Once the patties are cooked, assemble the burgers by placing each patty on a lettuce leaf. Top with sliced cucumber and radish.
  6. If desired, add a dollop of mayonnaise before wrapping the lettuce around the filling. Serve immediately.
