- White fish fillet (such as cod) - 200 grams
- Potato starch - 50 grams
- Egg - 1 large
- Carrot - 30 grams, finely grated
- Green onion - 20 grams, finely chopped
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Water - 50 milliliters
- Vegetable oil - for frying
Steps
- In a food processor, blend the white fish fillet until smooth.
- Add the potato starch, egg, grated carrot, chopped green onion, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and water to the fish paste. Blend until well combined.
- Transfer the mixture to a bowl and let it rest for 10 minutes.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a thin layer of vegetable oil.
- Scoop spoonfuls of the fish mixture and shape them into small oval cakes (about 2-3 cm thick).
- Fry the fish cakes in the skillet for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove the fish cakes from the skillet and drain on paper towels before serving.
