- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Burger buns - 2 pieces
- Lettuce leaves - 2 pieces
- Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
- Cucumber - 1 small, sliced
- Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
- Chili flakes - 1/2 teaspoon (optional for extra heat)
Steps
- In a bowl, mix the ground beef, gochujang, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, and black pepper until combined.
- Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties, about 1.5 cm thick.
- Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat and cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
- While the patties are cooking, prepare the burger buns by toasting them lightly on the grill or in a toaster.
- Once the patties are done, assemble the burgers by spreading mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun.
- Place a lettuce leaf on each bun, followed by the cooked patty, sliced tomato, and cucumber.
- Sprinkle chili flakes on top of the vegetables if desired, then cap with the top half of the bun.
- Serve immediately with your favorite side dish, such as sweet potato fries or a salad.
