- Chayote - 1 medium (about 200g)
- Carrot - 1 small (about 50g)
- Cucumber - 1 small (about 100g)
- Green onion - 2 stalks
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Sesame seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
Steps
- Wash the chayote, carrot, and cucumber thoroughly. Peel the chayote and carrot; leave the cucumber unpeeled.
- Julienne the chayote, carrot, and cucumber into thin strips. Slice the green onions into small pieces.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the sesame oil, soy sauce, rice vinegar, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until well mixed.
- Add the julienned vegetables and green onions to the dressing. Toss until all the vegetables are coated evenly.
- Let the salad sit for about 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
