Ingredients
- Spaghetti - 200 grams
- Halal bacon (or beef bacon) - 100 grams, diced
- Eggs - 2 large
- Parmesan cheese - 50 grams, grated
- Gochujang (Korean chili paste) - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - to taste
- Green onions - 2, chopped (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds - 1 teaspoon (for garnish)
Steps
- Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving a bit of the pasta water.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the diced halal bacon until crispy. Remove the bacon and set aside, leaving the fat in the skillet.
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and chopped onion. Sauté until the onion is translucent.
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, grated Parmesan cheese, gochujang, soy sauce, and sesame oil until well combined.
- Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet with the garlic and onion, tossing to combine. Remove from heat.
- Quickly pour the egg mixture over the hot pasta, tossing continuously to create a creamy sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water to reach the desired consistency.
- Stir in the crispy bacon and season with black pepper to taste.
- Serve immediately, garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
