Ingredients
- Beef sirloin - 200 grams, thinly sliced
- Soy sauce (kosher) - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Brown sugar - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Mixed salad greens - 100 grams
- Cucumber - 1/2, julienned
- Carrot - 1, julienned
- Red bell pepper - 1/2, thinly sliced
- Green onion - 2, chopped
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon, toasted
- Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
- Chili flakes - 1/2 teaspoon (optional)
Steps
- In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, brown sugar, and black pepper. Add the sliced beef, toss to coat, and let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- While the beef is marinating, prepare the salad by mixing the salad greens, cucumber, carrot, red bell pepper, and green onion in a large bowl.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and cook for about 5-7 minutes until browned and cooked through.
- Once the beef is cooked, remove it from the heat and let it cool slightly before adding it to the salad bowl.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the rice vinegar and chili flakes (if using). Drizzle this dressing over the salad and toss gently to combine.
- Serve the salad topped with the warm beef and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds.
