Ingredients

  • Salmon fillets - 2 x 150g
  • Soy sauce (gluten-free) - 3 tablespoons
  • Brown sugar - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
  • Ginger, grated - 1 teaspoon
  • Green onions, chopped - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. In a bowl, mix together gluten-free soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, rice vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and black pepper to create the marinade.
  2. Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the salmon from the marinade, reserving the marinade for later use. Grill the salmon fillets for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and have nice grill marks.
  5. While the salmon is grilling, bring the reserved marinade to a boil in a small saucepan over medium heat and let it simmer for 3-4 minutes to thicken slightly.
  6. Once the salmon is done, drizzle the thickened marinade over the fillets and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
  7. Serve immediately with your choice of side, such as rice or grilled vegetables.
