Ingredients
- Salmon fillets - 2 x 150g
- Soy sauce (gluten-free) - 3 tablespoons
- Brown sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
- Ginger, grated - 1 teaspoon
- Green onions, chopped - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Black pepper - to taste
Steps
- In a bowl, mix together gluten-free soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, rice vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and black pepper to create the marinade.
- Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes.
- Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Remove the salmon from the marinade, reserving the marinade for later use. Grill the salmon fillets for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and have nice grill marks.
- While the salmon is grilling, bring the reserved marinade to a boil in a small saucepan over medium heat and let it simmer for 3-4 minutes to thicken slightly.
- Once the salmon is done, drizzle the thickened marinade over the fillets and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
- Serve immediately with your choice of side, such as rice or grilled vegetables.
