Ingredients

  • Rice paper wrappers - 4 sheets
  • Cooked bulgogi beef or tofu - 150 grams
  • Carrot - 1 medium, julienned
  • Cucumber - 1 medium, julienned
  • Red bell pepper - 1 medium, julienned
  • Fresh cilantro - 20 grams
  • Fresh mint - 20 grams
  • Lettuce leaves - 4 large
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame seeds - 1 teaspoon
  • Chili sauce (optional) - to taste

Steps

  1. In a bowl, mix the cooked bulgogi beef or tofu with soy sauce, sesame oil, and rice vinegar. Let marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. Prepare all the vegetables by washing and cutting them into thin strips.
  3. Fill a shallow dish with warm water and soak each rice paper wrapper for about 10-15 seconds until pliable.
  4. Lay the softened rice paper on a clean surface or cutting board.
  5. Place a lettuce leaf on the lower third of the rice paper, followed by a small amount of marinated bulgogi or tofu, a few strips of carrot, cucumber, and red bell pepper, and a sprinkle of cilantro and mint.
  6. Fold the sides of the rice paper over the filling, then roll it up tightly from the bottom to the top to form a roll. Repeat this process with the remaining ingredients.
  7. Serve the rice paper rolls with a sprinkle of sesame seeds and a side of chili sauce for dipping.
