- Breadcrumbs - 50 grams
- Egg - 1 large
- Green onions - 2 stalks, finely chopped

- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Gochujang - 1 tablespoon
- Brown sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon (for garnish)
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, chopped green onions, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, gochujang, brown sugar, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper.
- Mix the ingredients thoroughly until well combined, but do not overmix.
- Transfer the meat mixture into a loaf pan, shaping it into a loaf.
- In a small bowl, mix an additional tablespoon of gochujang with a tablespoon of water to create a glaze.
- Brush the glaze over the top of the meatloaf.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 70°C (160°F).
- Remove from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and serve with steamed rice or kimchi.
