  • Soy sauce (low sodium) - 3 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
  • Ginger, minced - 1 teaspoon
  • Red pepper flakes - 1 teaspoon
  • Green onion, chopped - 2 tablespoons
  • Kimchi - 200 grams
  • Cabbage, chopped - 100 grams
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, minced ginger, red pepper flakes, and black pepper to create a marinade.
  2. Add the beef short ribs to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. While the beef is marinating, prepare the kimchi by mixing it with the chopped cabbage in a separate bowl.
  4. Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated beef short ribs and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are nicely browned and cooked through.
  5. Remove the beef from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  6. Serve the sliced beef short ribs alongside the kimchi and cabbage mixture, garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
