Ingredients

  • Fettuccine pasta - 200 grams
  • Beef sirloin (Halal) - 200 grams, thinly sliced
  • Soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Brown sugar - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Carrot - 1 medium, julienned
  • Bell pepper - 1 medium, sliced
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon, toasted
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Water - 2 liters for boiling pasta

Steps

  1. Bring 2 liters of water to a boil in a large pot. Add a pinch of salt and cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Add the sliced beef and marinate for at least 10 minutes.
  3. Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef along with the marinade and cook for about 5-7 minutes until the beef is browned and cooked through.
  4. Add the julienned carrot and sliced bell pepper to the skillet. Stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  5. Add the cooked fettuccine to the skillet and toss everything together until well combined. Season with black pepper to taste.
  6. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds before serving.
