- kimchi - 150 grams
- halal beef (thinly sliced) - 100 grams
- tofu (firm) - 100 grams
- onion (sliced) - 1 medium
- green onion (chopped) - 2 stalks
- garlic (minced) - 3 cloves
- ginger (minced) - 1 teaspoon
- Korean chili flakes (gochugaru) - 1 tablespoon
- soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- water - 500 ml
- salt - to taste
Steps
- In a pot, heat sesame oil over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic and ginger until fragrant.
- Add the sliced onion and cook until translucent.
- Stir in the halal beef slices and cook until browned.
- Add the kimchi and Korean chili flakes, stirring well to combine, and cook for another 3-4 minutes.
- Pour in the water and bring to a boil.
- Once boiling, reduce heat to a simmer and add the tofu cubes. Let it cook for about 10-15 minutes.
- Season with soy sauce and salt to taste. Stir in the chopped green onion before serving.
- Serve hot in bowls with steamed rice on the side.
