Ingredients

  • White fish fillet (e.g., cod or tilapia) - 200 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Almond flour - 50 grams
  • Green onion - 2 tablespoons, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Korean red pepper flakes (gochugaru) - 1 tablespoon
  • Soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free) - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Coconut oil - 2 tablespoons (for frying)

Steps

  1. In a bowl, flake the fish fillet into small pieces using a fork.
  2. Add the egg, almond flour, chopped green onion, minced garlic, grated ginger, gochugaru, soy sauce, salt, and black pepper to the bowl.
  3. Mix all the ingredients until well combined and form small patties (about 6-8 cakes).
