Ingredients
- Dried wakame seaweed - 15 grams
- Beef brisket - 150 grams, thinly sliced
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce (low-sodium) - 1 tablespoon
- Water - 4 cups (1 liter)
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
Steps
- Soak the dried wakame seaweed in warm water for about 10 minutes until it expands, then drain and chop into bite-sized pieces.
- In a medium pot, heat the sesame oil over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add the thinly sliced beef brisket to the pot and cook until browned, approximately 3-4 minutes.
- Pour in the 4 cups of water and bring to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat and simmer for about 10 minutes.
- Add the soaked and chopped wakame seaweed to the pot along with the soy sauce, and continue to simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
- Season the soup with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.
