  • Beef brisket - 150 grams, sliced thinly
  • Zucchini - 100 grams, sliced
  • Mushrooms (shiitake or enoki) - 100 grams, sliced
  • Green onions - 2 stalks, chopped
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
  • Korean red pepper flakes (gochugaru) - 1 tablespoon
  • Soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free) - 2 tablespoons
  • Fish sauce - 1 teaspoon
  • Beef broth - 500 milliliters
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. In a pot, heat the sesame oil over medium heat and add the minced garlic and ginger. Sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  2. Add the sliced beef brisket to the pot and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Stir in the Korean red pepper flakes, soy sauce, and fish sauce, mixing well to coat the beef.
  4. Pour in the beef broth and bring the mixture to a simmer. Allow it to cook for 10 minutes.
  5. Add the sliced zucchini and mushrooms to the pot, and continue to simmer for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender.
