Ingredients

  • Beef brisket - 300 grams
  • Soy sauce (low-sodium) - 60 ml
  • Water - 200 ml
  • Garlic (minced) - 2 cloves
  • Ginger (sliced) - 1 teaspoon
  • Green chili (sliced) - 1 small
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Sweetener (erythritol or stevia) - 1 teaspoon
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Spring onions (chopped) - 2 stalks

Steps

  1. Cut the beef brisket into bite-sized pieces and set aside.
  2. In a pot, combine the soy sauce, water, minced garlic, sliced ginger, and sweetener. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
  3. Add the beef pieces to the pot and stir well to coat them in the sauce.
  4. Reduce the heat to low and cover the pot. Let it simmer for about 45 minutes, stirring occasionally until the beef is tender.
  5. Add the sliced green chili and black pepper to the pot, then cook uncovered for an additional 5-10 minutes to thicken the sauce.
  6. Remove from heat and drizzle with sesame oil. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped spring onions before serving.
