- Beef brisket - 300 grams
- Soy sauce (low-sodium) - 60 ml
- Water - 200 ml
- Garlic (minced) - 2 cloves
- Ginger (sliced) - 1 teaspoon
- Green chili (sliced) - 1 small
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Sweetener (erythritol or stevia) - 1 teaspoon
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Spring onions (chopped) - 2 stalks
Steps
- Cut the beef brisket into bite-sized pieces and set aside.
- In a pot, combine the soy sauce, water, minced garlic, sliced ginger, and sweetener. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
- Add the beef pieces to the pot and stir well to coat them in the sauce.
- Reduce the heat to low and cover the pot. Let it simmer for about 45 minutes, stirring occasionally until the beef is tender.
- Add the sliced green chili and black pepper to the pot, then cook uncovered for an additional 5-10 minutes to thicken the sauce.
- Remove from heat and drizzle with sesame oil. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped spring onions before serving.
