Ingredients

  • Chicken thighs - 300 grams, boneless and skinless
  • Gochujang (Korean chili paste) - 2 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce (low sodium) - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Green onion - 1 stalk, chopped (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds - 1 teaspoon (for garnish)
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine gochujang, soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.
  2. Cut the chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces and add them to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the marinated chicken pieces to the skillet, cooking for about 5-7 minutes until they are cooked through and slightly caramelized.
  4. Stir occasionally to ensure even cooking. If the marinade starts to burn, lower the heat.
  5. Once the chicken is thoroughly cooked, remove from heat and transfer to a serving plate.
  6. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
