Ingredients
- Chicken thighs - 400 grams
- Gochugaru (Korean red pepper flakes) - 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free) - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
- Ginger, minced - 1 teaspoon
- Green onions, chopped - 2 stalks
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- In a bowl, combine gochugaru, soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, minced ginger, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
- Add the chicken thighs to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes (or up to 2 hours for more flavor).
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade and place it in the hot skillet. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is cooked through and has a nice char.
- During the last couple of minutes of cooking, sprinkle the chopped green onions over the chicken.
