Ingredients

  • Korean loach (or alternative fish) - 200 grams
  • Water - 500 ml
  • Korean radish (mu) - 100 grams, diced
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Green onion - 2 stalks, chopped
  • Korean chili powder (gochugaru) - 1 tablespoon
  • Fish sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Shirataki noodles - 200 grams, rinsed

Steps

  1. In a pot, bring 500 ml of water to a boil over medium heat.
  2. Add the diced Korean radish, minced garlic, and grated ginger to the boiling water. Let it simmer for about 10 minutes until the radish is tender.
  3. Add the Korean loach (or alternative fish) to the pot and cook for another 5-7 minutes until the fish is cooked through.
  4. Stir in the Korean chili powder, fish sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Adjust seasoning to taste.
  5. Add the rinsed shirataki noodles to the pot and let them warm in the broth for about 2-3 minutes.
  6. Finally, sprinkle chopped green onions over the top before serving.
